My new quilt

Here are some picures of my Valentine quilt that I finished..I love the way it turned out and I'm excited to start a new one, especially after visiting a few new quilt stores last weekend!

Winter Break

We enjoyed a little fun in the sun a couple of weeks ago in Mexico..The kids had a great time looking for shells and we took long walks on the beach

To knit or not to knit.....Jensen ,Cooper and I decided to make this warm winter hats on the "nifty knitter" i mostly just like the name nifty knitter! They have decided their fortunes will be made in beanies, I would just be happy if they could pay for college.Is that asking too much? Cooper said that all it would take is one of the "popular" kids to wear it and they would be in FAT CITY!! I'll let you know when we are ready to sell franchises...

We are looking forward to the long MLK holiday weekend! Although this time of year we tend to stay away from Main street or anything near it due to Sundance! the worst is the drivers that haul people around(especially up and down the canyon from the airport!) ugh please drive a little more considerate! the upside is that noone is up skiing because they"re all at screenings....

I finished my first AND second ever quilts last week and droped them off to be machine quilted (thanks Britt for the info and support) If they arn"t too embarassing I'll put pix of them on when I get them back> I know it is very old-lady domestic! but I decideed that I needed to spend my time a little more wisely than shopping and eating lunch with girlfriends> not that I don"t still enjoy that, But maybe there's more to life that a new pair of shoes...is there? maybe new shoes and a few quilts here and there, that"s a good balance!

My kids are dying to get their hands on my new blog...hey It's mine! Spencer wants to put all his movies on here and Cooper wants to spell-check me! I don"t think Jensen cares one way or another as long as she is mentioned>happy Saturday!

Welcome to our family blog! We are now hip and computer savvy. We made it through Christmas and are enjoying? Our endless Winter here in Park City....It is beautiful today, 40 degress and sunny! I can hardly wait until February break when we go to Mexico! The kids are excited to get some sun on their cheeks. we are enjoying the awesome Utah powder>>>the kids have made good use of their new ski equipment that they got for Christmas! We had a great Family ski day with Casey and Andy and Jen over the Christmas Holiday break.
